Privacy notice

This notice covers the company website at orbitconnect.cc and email sent to info@orbitconnect.cc. Our products, such as GradHub, have their own privacy notices.

Who we are

The controller for this website is ORBITCONNECT LIMITED, trading as Orbit Connect, a company registered in Ireland (No. 799485) with its registered office at Hollybrook Park, Clontarf, Dublin. You can contact us about anything in this notice at info@orbitconnect.cc.

How this website handles data

This site has no forms, accounts or sign-ups. It:

  • sets no cookies and uses no local storage;
  • uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used in general terms, so we can improve and update it.

The personal data involved is limited to technical data about visits to the site, described under hosting, and anything you send us by email.

Hosting and network data

This website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. When you visit it, Cloudflare processes your interactions with the site. As described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy, this may include your IP address, traffic routing data, system configuration information and other information about traffic to and from the site.

Cloudflare acts as a data processor for the logs it makes available to us and for content that passes through its network, processing them on our behalf and under our instructions. For some other data, including network data it derives to keep its services secure and running (for example, to identify and block malicious activity), Cloudflare acts as a controller under its own privacy policy.

We use this information to deliver the website, keep it secure and understand in general terms how it is used. We do not use it to build profiles or to identify visitors. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable website and improving it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cloudflare primarily stores information in the United States and the European Economic Area. For transfers from the EEA to the United States, Cloudflare relies on its certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, if that is no longer available, on standard contractual clauses. It uses standard contractual clauses for other international transfers from the EEA. The information is kept by Cloudflare for as long as needed for these purposes, in line with its own policy.

You can read Cloudflare’s privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

If you email us

We use your email address and message to reply and to deal with your request. We keep correspondence only as long as we need it for that purpose or to meet legal obligations. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Who receives data

We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. The only recipients are the service providers described above: Cloudflare, for hosting, web analytics and email routing, and our email service providers.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to have it corrected. Where applicable, you also have the right to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email info@orbitconnect.cc.

We respond within one month, unless the GDPR permits an extension. We will tell you within that month if an extension is needed and why.

Complaints

You have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, the supervisory authority in Ireland: www.dataprotection.ie. We would be grateful for the chance to deal with your concern first.
